Leonard A. Cornez
Interim Chief Financial Officer, Director
Mr. Cornez is an independent consultant providing business advisory and financial services in the energy and mining sector, with substantial experience in international markets over a 27-year career. In July 2007, Mr. Cornez commenced consulting work for Emerald Fields Resource Corporation, and in September 2007 joined its board of directors and became contract chief financial officer, and was closely involved in the transactions that led to the formation of Pacific Iron Ore. Previous to this he served as the senior financial officer of Enerflex Systems Income Fund (2004 to April 2007); Terasen Pipelines Inc. (2003 to 2004); Ryan Energy Technologies Ltd. (2000 to 2002); Hartland Pipeline Services Limited (1999); and Computalog Ltd. (1991 to 1999). From 1981 to 1991 he was principal, attestation services with Coopers & Lybrand in Canada and Australia. Mr. Cornez is a Chartered Accountant, Alberta (1984); a Certified Public Accountant, Illinois (2004); and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (1981) degree and a certificate in Business Data Processing (1988) from the University of Calgary.
