Todd D. Montgomery
Chief Executive Officer and Director
Mr. Montgomery, in September 2007, became CEO and a director of Emerald Fields Resource Corporation, where he led the process that resulted in the foundational transactions creating Pacific Iron Ore. Previous to this, Mr. Montgomery founded and was president and CEO of Anglo Minerals Ltd. (later Anglo Potash Ltd.), a mineral exploration company focused on developing a large potash prospect in Saskatchewan, which in July 2008 was acquired by BHP Billiton in a transaction valued at $284 million. In 1999, Mr. Montgomery was a founder of Synenco Energy Inc., an oil sands development corporation, and served as its president and chief operating officer. Synenco was later acquired by Total E&P Canada Ltd. in a cash transaction valued at more than $500 million. In addition, Mr. Montgomery has been an independent mining consultant and prospector, staking and disposing of numerous oil sands and other mineral properties.
