Pacific Iron Ore

Corporate Responsibility

Pacific Iron Ore’s philosophy is to work cooperatively with First Nations groups, ensuring that they share in the benefits arising from the development of the mineral claims. In particular the Pearson Project requires close collaboration and cooperation with the Pacheedaht First Nation, many of whose members reside in the Port Renfrew area. The Pearson Project lies within the lands identified by the Pacheedaht First Nation in the statement of intent in its negotiations with the B.C. Treaty Commission. Pacific Iron Ore is proud of its longstanding, positive relationship with this First Nation. This is exemplified by the current employment opportunities provided by associated companies, the granting of 500,000 options to acquire common shares in the Corporation, and the positive discussions held in ongoing negotiations. Pacific Iron Ore is dedicated to growing its positive relationship with the Pacheedaht First Nation and will ensure that additional opportunities for its members to benefit will arise as the Pearson Project progresses.
