Pacific Iron Ore has eight mineral properties in Canada located on the southwestern edge of Vancouver Island and in northwestern Ontario. Its Vancouver Island holdings totalled 237,985 hectares at 100 percent working interest. The focus of Pacific Iron Ore´s exploration program, the Pearson Project on Vancouver Island, has the potential for significant high-grade deposits of iron ore and other metals. In September 2008, Pacific Iron Ore also holds eight mining properties in Ontario totalling 14,096 hectares (103 mining claims and leases). Its Ontario properties lie in an area with proven potential for several metals and commodities.
